We're Married!

For those that know us, know we have quite the unconventional story. First, meeting at White Station High School when Mia didn't even want to add him back on Snapchat. Fast forward, and we ended up having many dates, even going to 2 proms together, and soon Gustavo went off to college at CBU. A year later, Mia decided to go to UW-Madison, making the difficult decision to see if a long-distance relationship would work. Countless Facetime calls and many visits home over the holidays later, and we ended up on the other side once Mia graduated in 2021. We spent a year together in Memphis during Mia's gap year, catching up on all things and planning for what's next. In 2022, Mia started graduate school at WashU in St. Louis, continuing the trend of a long distance relationship. At the same time, Gustavo decided to take a job in Nashville at Vanderbilt Hospital. We continued to visit each other when we could and explore these new cities. Gustavo then found an OR job that he was interested in back in Memphis, deciding to move back home. With some more experience under his belt, he found a travel nurse contract in St. Louis and decided to take it for 3 months. After taking Mia out to her favorite restaurant for a belated birthday dinner, Gustavo proposed. We decided to have a courthouse wedding back in Memphis and have an intimate get together with family at Shelby Farms. Now, we are navigating living together in St. Louis as Mia is soon to graduate OT school, and we plan to find a place together back in Memphis at the end of the summer. We are excited to figure out what's next together.
