Drake and Mia first heard of each other back in 7th grade, but nothing happened then and they forgot about each other…
It wasn’t until the summer of 2018 when Mia was invited to The Chapel’s summer camp at Silver Birch Ranch. She was excited to see what the Lord would reveal to her during her time there. The morning of July 7, 2018 while her and some of her friends were doing a bible study, Drake walked out of his cabin and came to say hi to the group of friends. Mia had a flashback and realized the cute guy in front of her was Drake. The rest of the camp she tried to hang out with him more and wanted to become friends with him. One day of the camp, she heard God’s whisper and knew Drake was going to be part of her life. After camp Mia pursued Drake and got friend zoned a few times but continued anyway for about 2 years. It wasn’t until February 28, 2020 that Drake asked Mia to prom and also asked her to be his girlfriend. They dated through the pandemic in 2020 and got creative with their virtual dates. Mia and Drake went to college and were long distance for a semester, until Mia transferred to Indiana Wesleyan University where Drake attended. They pursued social work together. Over the years their love for the Lord has grown and it is of evidence by those around them. July 7, 2024 marked the big day that Drake proposed to Mia. They are so excited to unite as one through marriage. Most importantly, they are excited to see the ways they can use their marriage to bring others to know Jesus.
