Depending in traffic, the venue is about a 25-40 minute drive from the airport.
We recommend flying into Lisbon Airport (LIS) — it’s about 30–40 minutes from Sintra by car or train.
Yes, you will need a valid passport. Portugal also requires that your passport be valid for at least six months after your trip ends.
The ceremony will take place indoors, followed by an outdoor cocktail hour on the venue’s grounds. Dinner will be held inside, with the reception to follow in the venue’s courtyard, weather permitting.
To make the most of your time in Portugal, we recommend renting a car—especially if you're planning to explore charming towns and scenic spots beyond the city. We suggest opting for a smaller car, as many streets in Portugal, particularly in older towns, can be quite narrow. That said, getting around without a car is also very easy! Uber is widely available, and in many cities, you'll also find tuk-tuks—fun and convenient for short rides or sightseeing.
Yes, there is parking right in front of the venue.
Expect warm, sunny weather with minimal chance of rain. Daytime highs typically range from the high 70s to mid 80s°F (25–29°C), while evenings remain pleasantly mild, usually in the low to mid 60s°F (16–19°C). In Sintra, which is tucked into the hills near the coast, it can still be breezy or misty—so it’s a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater just in case.
Dress Code: Semi-Formal For Women: Floor-length or midi dresses, jumpsuits, or pantsuits are all welcome. We recommend chunky heels or wedges due to some uneven cobblestone and pavement. For Men: Dress shirts (long-sleeved) with slacks or dress pants. Kindly avoid: Shorts or White attire As the evening may get cooler, we also suggest bringing a light sweater or shawl just in case.
