After moving back home from Hume in Summer 2022 Mia wanted to get connected to The Well Community Church. She volunteers in student ministries and attended camp and met her friend Haley (who’s now a bridesmaid) and told Mia that she has a friend group that hangs out and plays pickleball some times and invited Mia to join. Mia arrives at pickleball and in walks Brett. A year goes by and they became good friends and Mia was tired of waiting for him to ask her out. So she thought she would, as she says : ‘throw a bone and hoping he would catch’ and he did! The next day, they had their first date at Crow and Wolf brewery which lasted almost 3 hours! They went on 5 dates before becoming ‘official’. 11 months later Brett got down on one knee in Yosemite National Park and proposed to Mia! We can’t wait to celebrate with you and we’re so grateful to the Lord for his Kindness through it all!
