Travel Note
If you don't have a passport yet, we recommend applying as soon as possible—processing can take several weeks! If you already have one, double-check the expiration date to make sure it’s valid through your travel dates. US citizens traveling to Brazil must obtain an electronic visa (e-Visa) prior to arrival. This process is quick and straightforward, and visas are typically issued within a few days via email. Please apply for your e-Visa through the official portal: https://brazil.vfsevisa.com. For further assistance or questions about the e-Visa process, you can contact the Brazilian consulate directly at visa.miami@itamaraty.gov.br.
Flight
Vitória Airport (VIX) is the nearest airport to Vila Velha. It does not have direct international flights from the US, so you’ll connect through major Brazilian cities such as Rio de Janeiro (GIG), São Paulo (GRU), or Brasília (BSB). We recommend booking your entire flight itinerary together directly to VIX, rather than separate international and domestic tickets. This ensures that any flight changes or cancellations can be managed more easily by your airline.
Hotel
Conveniently located near the beach and close to our wedding venue, Quality Suites Vila Velha is our recommended choice. Guests staying here will have access to a complimentary shuttle service for all wedding-related events, as well as group tours we’ve arranged during the trip. You're welcome to stay wherever you prefer, but choosing this hotel will ensure easier transportation and quicker proximity to us and all the festivities!
Rental Car
If you're considering renting a car during your visit, we recommend Localiza. They have a convenient pickup location directly at Vitória Airport (VIX), making your arrival smooth and easy. American guests with a valid US driver's license are permitted to drive in Brazil for up to 90 days. Feel free to reach out if you have questions or need assistance with your rental!
Shuttle

A shuttle will depart from Quality Suites Vila Velha to the ceremony venue around 2:30 PM on July 25th, 2026 (exact departure time to be confirmed approximately 3 months before the wedding). The shuttle will return guests to the hotel at midnight.
