He likes coffee, I fancy a cinnamon swirl bagel...we met on Coffee Meets Bagel. Now we're getting married!

Why Savannah? After several months of dating, Patrick was driving home from a conference in South Carolina for a date with Mhirza; unfortunately, Patrick's chronic back challenges prevented him from driving any further home, so he decided to stay the night in Savannah, GA. Knowing that he'd have to miss his date with Mhirza, he called her to give her the bad news. Mhirza offered to fly to Savannah and drive them back to Tampa, so he can rest his back and keep him company. Patrick thanked Mhirza for the offer, but said he would drive back to Tampa the next day and he didn't plan on paying for her flight. She said it's only one-way, and she would be happy to pay for it. Mhirza flew to Savannah. They had a nice night in Savannah, and the following morning, Mhirza showed Patrick around Savannah until the pollen got to their allergies, especially Patrick's. Since then, they return to Savannah whenever they can. Why the Thompson Hotel? One weekend, Mhirza and Patrick were driving to drop off Peanut, her dog, in Hilton Head and planned to stop for the night in Savannah. Mhirza had found an AirBnB to stay at; however, the place turned out to be something you would see in a horror film! "No way are we staying here!" Patrick found a room at the Thompson Savannah, a boutique hotel just outside of downtown that allowed large dogs(!). The hotel was in a developing part of Savannah, near the Eastern Wharf on the riverwalk. They get to the hotel, check in and ask how much the charge for Peanut would be...NO CHARGE :) As they made their way to the room, Mhirza noticed little door signs that say 'Pet Inside'.
