Like most people in this day and age we met online! He was in Charles Town, WV and I was in Arlington, VA. After the first night we hung out I knew he was special. I knew instantly I wanted to make this man my boyfriend, but he told me I had to wait until he could take me on 5 dates. So, I did and on date number 5 I most definitely did not forget to remind him, and he officially asked me to be his girlfriend on May 15th, 2021. We did the 1-and-a-half-hour distance for about a month before Michael's job moved him closer to me for a 2 week "temporary" assignment. After about a month and a half of working there we knew we couldn't go back to being apart, so he officially moved in with me after about 3 months of dating (clearly it worked out haha). So, it was Michael, Oakley and me in my tiny 1-bedroom condo!

We both knew that we were each other's forever very early on. Michael gives me the world and treats me like a princess. We both knew we didn't want to wait too long to get engaged because when you meet the person you want to spend the rest of your life with you want the rest of your life to start now. I was constantly bothering him about when we were going to get engaged because I was determined I was going to get it out of him (I did not). I had told him my dream proposal would be to have my family there or there shortly after to celebrate with and that's just what he did. It was Easter Sunday, and my family was getting together at a winery for Easter Brunch. He had originally told me he would never propose on a holiday so I had NO idea that it would happen that day. After a while of hanging out with my family my mom made us do the obligatory holiday pictures. At the winery we were at there was a massive sign that said LOVE. While we were doing pictures there, he pulls me in and starts to kiss me. He was supposed to talk but he got so nervous he just kept kissing me and that's when I knew something was up because we don't do PDA in front of my parents LOL. He then got down on one knee and neither of us remember what he said to me because we were both so happy and excited and nervous. After sobbing tears of happiness, we got to facetime and tell friends and family and now we are going to become the Baileys.
