Your passport cannot expire within six months of the date that you are leaving Italy, otherwise it is invalid.
Travel Note
We suggest arriving on March 29 and spending that night in Milan. This will give you a chance to explore the capital and rest up before heading to the villa on the afternoon of the 30th. For your return flight, we recommend staying in Milan the night before you leave to make sure you have plenty of time the next day. Its cheaper to fly out of Ft. Lauderdale rather than Orlando by about a hundred dollars. If you want to have less traveling to do upon arriving in Italy you could fly into Florence.
Travel Note
The villa where the wedding ceremony and reception will be held at will also be the accommodations we are offering. It has 12 bedrooms and sleeps 24 people, each room with its own bathroom, though some are not en suite. The rate is $250 total per room, for a 5 night stay (Yes for all 5 nights!). Michael and I will be assigning rooms based on needs. Check in is March 30, feel free to arrive at any time, checkout is April 4 at 10:00 am.
Travel Note
Villa address: Villa Valgiano San Pietro - S'Andrea, Capannori, Province of Lucca, Italy. We highly recommend renting a car from the airport of your arrival. There are multiple trains to get you from the airport to Lucca, and we can pick you up from the train station if necessary.
Travel Note
Since the location of the Villa is about 20 minutes from the city of Lucca, we recommend renting a car, although it is possible to explore using public transportation. Public transport in Italy is great, and we imagine groups will want to head to similar cities and people will be able to catch rides. Michael and I as well as others will have cars that can take a few passengers if we’re all headed to the same place.
