Rafael Núñez International Airport

Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG) is the only airport in Cartagena, Colombia. Customs and immigration can sometimes take a while, so come prepared to practice a little patience! It can also get quite warm inside the airport, so we recommend traveling with a small handheld fan that’s easy to access. The airport is conveniently located about 10–20 minutes from the Walled City. We recommend arranging private transportation through your hotel or Airbnb ahead of time, or using Uber to schedule your pick ups.

In addition to our hotel recommendations, Airbnb can also be a wonderful option especially for families or groups of friends who would like to stay together or nearby. Many homes in Cartagena come with house staff who can assist with cooking, cleaning, coordinating transportation, and sharing local recommendations or excursion ideas to help make your stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. We’d recommend looking for Airbnb's located in Getsemaní. This hotel is the most centrally located option, about 20 minutes from the airport, 12 minutes from the church, and 8 minutes from the reception. The surrounding area is very walkable, so additional transportation may not be necessary. Use this link to reserve your room through our room block. We have room blocks starting February 16th-26th. This hotel isn’t quite as walkable to the Walled City, but it’s still a great option. It will require a bit more transportation to get around the city, but is also conveniently located about 20 minutes from the airport, 11 minutes from the church, and 12 minutes from the reception. We do not have a room block at this hotel, but it is another great option. This is a brand-new property that opened in April. It’s also in a convenient, walkable location about 14 minutes from the airport, 7 minutes from the church, and 9 minutes from the reception.
