The welcome event will be held at a private picnic space within Golden Gate Park. If driving by car, you can park along the street or the very small parking lot at the Blue Heron Boat House. The park offers a free shuttle that will drop you off at the Boat House if you find parking farther away. Website’s with more information can be found on the “Travel” tab.
The welcome is an optional event. Due to an early morning ceremony, we encourage everyone traveling from LA to join in the welcome event to help get settled early and visit the area! For those who wish to skip, we will see you at the ceremony.
Plan to arrive by 9:30am and be inside to find your seat by 9:45am. The parking structure takes time and each guest will need to go through security when entering the building.
Yes, we ask all guests be dressed in Black Tie Attire. Refer to the gallery page if you’re looking for inspiration or color suggestions!
We recommend parking at the Civic Center Garage when arriving at city hall for the ceremony. It’s right in front. All street parking is metered.
No parking needed! We will be providing transportation from city hall to reception. At the end of the day, guests will be dropped back off at city hall parking garage. If walking to your hotel after the reception is more convenient then you may do so.
Due to the intimate nature of this event, the named guests included on the formal invitation is what we’re able to accommodate.
All named guests on the formal invitation are welcome to attend the ceremony and reception. During the reception, guests 21 and under will be seated and served in a secondary dining room for the duration of the formal dining portion. We have arranged childcare for younger children during this time. Parents can check their child in at the start of cocktail hour. If you believe younger children will have a hard time being separated or behaving, it may be best to leave them at home and enjoy an adult afternoon out.
