WHERE IS THE WEDDING TAKING PLACE?

Answer

The wedding is at The Emerson in Kaufman, Texas. The venue is located on sixteen acres just forty minutes outside of Downtown Dallas. There is a beautiful white chapel where the ceremony will be held and a venue next door for the reception. The address is 3950 FM 987, Kaufman, TX 75142.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

The attire is semi-formal or dressy casual. Picture what you might wear to a nice restaurant or fancy first date.

WHERE SHOULD WE STAY?

WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED TO/FROM THE HOTEL?

Answer

Yes. We will have a shuttle bringing guest to and from the venue. The shuttle will pickup and drop off at Tru by Hilton in Terrell, Texas. The shuttle is picking up guests from the hotel at 4:00 pm and will remain at The Emerson until send off at 10:30pm to take guests back to the hotel. Cars cannot be left at The Emerson over night so please plan ahead for transportation. It is not easy to get Ubers from the venue at the end of the night.

WHERE IS YOUR WEDDING REGISTRY?

We are registered through our wedding website. You can click on the registry tab to see a list of our registry items.

WHAT IS THE TIMELINE FOR THE DAY?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4:30pm. Please arrive to the venue 20-30 minutes before the ceremony starts so that you can be seated before the wedding ceremony begins. Cocktail hour will start at 5:00 pm, followed by the reception at 6:00 pm and sendoff at 10:30pm.

WILL THERE BE FOOD?

Answer

Of course!! For cocktail hour we will open the bar and a charcuterie board for grazing. Dinner will be catered by Chuy’s, followed by dessert.

WILL THE WEDDING BE INDOOR OR OUTDOOR?

Answer

The ceremony will be inside the chapel. The reception will be outside if weather permits. If it is rainy, the reception will be indoors.

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?

Answer

We have decided to have our wedding be an ADULT-ONLY occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our best day ever with us!
