FAQs

Question

Are cell phones or cameras allowed at the ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding is taking place during a full mass. Out of respect for the sacredness of the sacrament, we ask that you please silence your cell phones and put them away for the duration of the ceremony. We invite you to be fully present with us during this meaningful time, and trust that our photographer will capture every special moment.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For the Ladies: Summer Elegance- midi or maxi length dresses. Per boat policy, no stilettos on the yacht. After touring, the docks and the stairs on the boat may make taller heels quite tricky. Small block heels or sandals may be preferred. Once on the boat you can go shoeless! For the Men: Semi-formal attire- jacket and dress pants requested for the ceremony.

Question

Is any part of the reception outside?

Answer

The Carolina Girl Yacht is a multi-tiered boat. The main dining room is closed and fully air conditioned. The upper deck, which hosts the dance floor, is outdoors.

Question

What is the weather like in Charleston?

Answer

Late June in Charleston typically brings sunny and humid days. The average temperature is high 70's to low 90's.

Question

Does the boat leave the dock?

Answer

Boarding begins at 5:45pm, 15 minute prior to depature. The boat will leave the dock for a total of 3 hours (6pm-9pm), traveling along downtown's coastline. The boat will dock for the final hour of the reception.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can accommodate all of our guests, only those explicitly named on your invite are included. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to the nature of our reception being held on a moving boat, we kindly ask that this be an adults-only celebration.
