Wedding Party

These special people mean so much to us, and we're so honored to have them be part of our wedding party.

Kellie

Maid of Honor

Kellie is my big sister, protector, fashion advisor, shoulder to lean on, and junior mom who always tries to boss me around. We've been through a lot together and even when we're not getting along, as sisters so often do, we're always there for each other. She's one of my favorite people and just as crazy type-a as me - who better to have right by my side.

Scott

Best Man

Scott and I met while I was on tour in Phoenix. We instantly hit it off and started a long and fruitful friendship that included Madden games, touring together, Vegas trips, rock shows, living together and many more fun journeys in the future. We've both gotten to watch each other grow from silly-ass young-adults into somewhat mature and responsible people. He is also a new and wonderful father to Molly Mae, who I'm at risk of stealing from time to time. I'm thrilled for him to be my co-best man.

Tim B

Best Man

Tim and I met sophomore year of high school and immediately shared a passion via music. We spent the next few years battling out who had the better high-school garage band...until we eventually joined forces, won a few battle-of-the-bands and then toured the country for the next 6 years together. He's been a close friend even though he moved to the dreaded state of Wisconsin. We'll hopefully write a couple grammy-winning songs together in the future.

Monica

Bridesmaid

Monica is Mark's oldest sister and has been a great friend as I've gotten to know Mark and his family. It's a toss-up as to whether Mark or Monica is the louder Sutor - but the traits they share is warmth, welcomeness, and love of family. I'm so excited to gain three more sisters; next stop world domination!

DiAnn

Bridesmaid

I barged into her dorm room one fateful night during our freshman year, and she hasn't been able to get rid of me since. My Boston buddy, architect extraordinaire and travel pal - she and I very much function the same way and I'm so happy and lucky to get to call her one of my closest friends over the last 12 years.

Deanna

Bridesmaid

Deanna and DiAnn lived together, so I got two friends out of that fateful barge! Dee is Greek and Irish (talk about fiery), from Rhode Island, and is one of the most hilarious, thoughtful and loving people I know. Dee has a such a big heart, enthusiasm for life and love of adventure. These are all things she instills in me, and we've had nothing but fun over the last 12 years.

Jess

Bridesmaid

We met at a dinner party and ended the night talking about our dogs and cry/laughing over how similar they look. Jess is the founder of Team Awesome, one of our favorite running and dog beach buddies, and Charlie's favorite person.

Eric C

Groomsman

Eric Cohen is a wonderful human being, also famously known as a "man of passion." We lived together for close to 5 years (I think) and he helped co-father my puppy Charlie. He's been a great friend since we met years ago in the Barrington/Lake Zurich area and I couldn't imagine a wedding party without him. Literally, any wedding party.

Eric D

Groomsman

See also: Katherine's section about Jess Eric (and Jess) have been our neighbors here in the Lakeview area, and our friendship has blossomed because of co-interest in all things delicious, dogs and fun. We happened to go to Italy a few years ago together and had one of the best vacations ever. They obvi needed to join us on stage.

Tim S

Groomsman

Tim is my brother-in-law and first official "brother" I got in my family since my parents were jerks and only saddled me with 3 sisters. He got me pretty wasted in Madison when I wasn't of age and taught me the ways of Chipotle to cure a hangover. He's been a great friend, someone I certainly look up to as a hard-working and bad-ass dad, and I couldn't be happier for him, Monica and their burgeoning family.

Josh

Groomsman

Josh and I met years ago and have had a wonderful friendship full of sports-watching, Vegas-tripping, fun-having and a text chain with Scott that has gone on for years covering all things in life. He's a scholar and a gentleman who will have your back no matter what. He's also one of the main reasons that Katherine and I started to date - as he basically pushed me (not that I needed a ton of convincing) to ask her out on a date. I will forever be thankful to him and his wife Jen for that dinner (where the burger deal was apparently off?)

Lauren

Bridesmaid

I'll never forget the first day I saw Lauren. She was wearing a top that is best suited for a night club, and those brown tinted "fashion glasses" that were all the rage in the early 2000s. Part of me was like "we're moving into a sorority house, who the heck wears that to schlep stuff?" The other part of me was thinking, "she's probably way too cool for me." Despite her fashionable facade, Lauren quickly became one of my closest friends and I'm so happy that we've remained close over the years.

Jen

Officiant

Jen came into our lives via Josh and is simply a fantastic woman. We were beyond thrilled to learn that she and Josh were moving to Chicago. They tried escaping us for a few years but with enough persistence, annoyance, and persuasion we brought them back to the local family. Also, as Mark stated, she was a huge reason to push him to stop delaying and just ask Katherine out already. We've now shared tons of memories together and look forward to many more...including game nights, Friendsgivings, trips and an eventual return to Mexico where we got to see Jen & Josh wed. Seriously, we should go back to Mexico ASAP. If anything hits home from this description...it's that. We couldn't think of anyone better to marry us.

Charles Pearson Sutor

Groomsdog

via Mark: I got Charlie when he was 8 weeks old. I read a book about adopting a dog and the first rule of thumb was "make sure to see multiple dogs and find the one with the temperament that you're looking for." Naturally, Charlie was the first dog I saw, he bit my fingers and pooped and peed in the playpen...and then came home with me. He's just been the absolute best dog and has been on quite an adventure with me. via Katherine: I met Charlie when he was four years old and our initial meetings didn't go well because Charlie is a weirdo with new people. The joke is on Mark though because everything smoothed out and Charlie loves to snuggle me more. He's the most spastic, adorable, smart and sweet puppy.
