Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal attire is suggested This is an open air venue that will be chilly at night (the temperature WILL drop on our wedding day with no heat in the barn)—we highly recommend bringing a jacket.

What COVID-19 Considerations Should We Be Aware of?

Answer

(we will continue to update with any changes that need to be made) Please do not attend if you have tested positive for COVID-19, are waiting for test results, are showing symptoms, or if you have had close contact with a person who has tested positive for or who has symptoms of COVID-19. Our wedding will be partly outdoors / in an open air venue (open on 3 sides). We are asking all guests and vendors to be vaccinated before attending (you would need to get your second dose or the J&J shot by 10/2/21). If vaccination is not possible, plan to take a COVID test the week of the wedding and wear a mask while not eating/drinking. (See the next question for further action required) Thank you again so much for your love and support. This has been — and remains — an extremely difficult time and we so value all of the empathy and grace you have given us as we do our best to start our marriage in a way that doesn't endanger the lives of those we love most in the world.

Are you requiring confirmation of vaccination / COVID test status?

Answer

Yes. Email a photo of your vaccine card to mandlmeyer21@gmail.com by 9/10/21 or when you get your second vaccine by 10/2/21 (If there are multiple members of your family coming or you have a guest, include everyone’s vaccine card in your email). If you will not be vaccinated but will be getting a COVID test, please email mandlmeyer21@gmail.com letting us know that by 9/10/21, and then plan to send an email of your negative test results with the date taken to mandlmeyer21@gmail.com the week of the wedding.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Answer

We'll be outside on grass for a portion of the evening, so ladies, please opt for wedges or thick heels over stilettos

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

Yes and yes! We will be having a buffet style dinner.

Will there be any vegan/ vegetarian/ gluten free options?

Answer

Yes, please contact us via our email if you are vegan/gluten free as these options will be limited. *Exception: If you are a veggie Meyer, then we have your name down :)

Will I have to pay for parking?

Answer

No, parking is complimentary.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation will be provided for guests staying at Hotel Anthracite. Please see the "travel" tab for further details.

What time should I plan to arrive at the ceremony site?

Answer

30 minutes before! 3:45 would be great. The shuttle from Hotel Anthracite will begin early. (please check back to the transportation page for exact times)

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony, and invite you to be fully present with us. So please no photos during this time. Our wonderful photographer will take care of this and we will be happy to share those photos with you after the wedding. Feel free to bring the cameras out for the reception and capture the night!

Should we stay in a hotel one or two nights?

Answer

Hotel check in is at 3:00 and the ceremony starts at 4:15. If you'd rather not feel rushed we recommend staying the night before. Check out the "Things To Do" tab above for some fun ideas on how to spend your time! You can also leave your car at the hotel and check in post wedding if you decide to stay one night.

Where will you be Honeymooning?

Answer

We are headed to Northern California for a Mini Moon road trip (Napa Valley + Lake Tahoe + Yosemite National Park + Big Sur) and then have our dream Honeymoon in South of France next year!
