We met on Facebook Dating in 2021. Bonding over the love of the outdoors, dogs, and video games. After two months of talking daily, we decided to meet. One month later we went on our first actual date to Stoney Creek for a hike and picnic and spent hours just enjoying each other's company. Finally, after 5 more months of casual dinner dates and getting to know each other, we officially became a couple (on my birthday). Over the next four years, Matt moved in with me and my dog Stella, we then adopted another puppy (Feta) and began our lives together. We have been on countless trips and date nights like Monster Jam, camping, weekend get aways, spontaneous trips to the Zoo, or secretly planning surprise date days for each other and made so many amazing memories. We have spent many, many nights playing board games, video games, building Legos or doing puzzles. On August 9th, 2025 Matt had planned a perfect recreation of our first date, down to the PB&J sandwiches and applesauce. Little did I know that our family and friends were following us on the hiking trail waiting to witness and record the big moment. Even though we never actually had our picnic lunch and instead had a taco bar and pool party waiting for us, it was the perfect day. A day we will never forget. Forever and always. <3
