Someone’s always got to be the 5th wheel on a blind double date right? Julie was set up by a coworker on a “blind” date. Kris was the connection between everyone involved except Julie. The only plan for the date was to get drinks at Rory Dolan’s in Yonkers. Julie and her coworker had already made friends with some locals by the time the other half of the date showed up - why pay for your own drinks when the drunk Irish men will?! Kristina and her friends pregamed at home before the bar. Let’s just say the “date” didn’t go so great. Julie thought Kris was cool though since they talked more on the date than her actual date and Kris was trying to be a good friend and 5th wheel by “avoiding” Julie. The drinks at Rory’s were followed by a trip into the city. Some dancing, more drinking, and hanging out before the end of the night where everyone went their separate ways (Julie realized she needed her own escape plan). Just before Julie left Kris made sure to get her number...if only she could remember that later. The next day when Julie was at home sitting on her couch her coworker texted to see what she thought of everything. “It was fine - the other girl texted me but I’m surprised Kris didn’t”. That was all it took for Julie’s coworker to reach out to Kris and ask her why she hadn’t texted yet. Kris’ response “I didn’t even know I had her number” obviously someone had more fun the night before than others! And in her defense when Julie put her number in she put it in as Julia (who knew that was confusing?!) Anyway - as they say - the rest is history (or something like that).
