Our story began in February 2016, on one of Lauren’s first weekends back living in Cincinnati after several years in NYC and Philadelphia. While out celebrating “Galentine’s Day” with her girlfriends, we were introduced by mutual friends. We quickly bonded over our love of travel and our alma mater Ohio University. As our relationship grew we traveled to many new places together, sampling the finest meats, cheeses, and red wines across the land. We’ve also learned to embrace each other’s interests. Lauren has sharpened her sports knowledge, she now knows only five basketball players are allowed on the court per team. While Will has soaked in the most dramatic seasons of The Bachelor. We’ve spent the past few years living as family of three with our dog Norman. Our connection with each other’s families has only helped solidify our love towards one another. Lauren’s grandmother Doris gave Will the stamp of approval with a lovely nickname, "Clarence." While Will's twin nieces would ask about when we would get married and how they would soon have to say "Aunt Lauren." In February of 2020 after reliving many important “firsts” together, including going back to the spot of our first date, Will proposed in Washington Park. The park holds many fond memories for us, from the many strolls with our dog Norman, to the frequent date nights at nearby restaurants and bars. Will also shared his memory of walking through the park the night we met, the happiness he felt, and belief that it was the start of something special. After he popped the question, Lauren was overjoyed and eager to share the news with our families. We are very excited for this next chapter together and look forward to finally celebrating with all of our favorite people in September!
