One of the couple's favorite things to do is travel and experience new things together. In the spring of 2018, they took a trip of a lifetime that turned into their forever. They first flew to Belfast, Ireland where they managed to stay awake for 36 hours visiting the Titanic museum, the set of Game of Thrones, and bar hopping from one to the next. From Belfast, they ventured on to Rome (after a slight mishap where they managed to miss their flight in London). Little did Maddie know, Mike had managed to go through three securities and customs with an engagement ring in his pocket, panicking every step of the way. As they walked the streets of Rome, Mike continuously asked, "Where is the Trevi Fountain, when are we going." Finally, they had arrived. It was slightly drizzling when Mike handed his phone to a stranger and asked him to not press stop. That is when he got down on one knee and asked Maddie to spend the rest of her life with him. Without a pause, doubt, or hesitation, Maddie said yes and those all around the fountain began to clap and cheer. From there, they spent the rest of their two week European tour eating all the food they could (literally...appetizers, main courses, and desserts for every meal, followed by a bottle..or two..of wine). They traveled south to Sorrento, Positano, Nocelle and Capri soaking it all in. It was truly a trip of a lifetime and one they will never forget.
