You can stay anywhere in the bay area you are comfortable with, the Bride and Groom have not reserved a block of rooms anywhere. There is no need to stay in Downtown Berkeley, feel free to stay in the accommodation of your choice. The Downtown Berkeley BART station is only a couple of blocks from the venue (though a bit up hill).
Yes; Dinner, desserts, and drinks will be provided (but there are many dining options in the area if you're feeling hungry before or after the wedding).
Wine, beer, signature drinks, and some non alcoholic drink options will be available in a limited quantity. The bride and groom can recommend a few local drinking holes that are open late to any interested parties.
