FAQs

The Wedding Website of Amy Louise Metzinger and Harrison Smith Rogers
Question

When is the rsvp deadline?

Answer

Please let us know if you’ll be joining us by Tuesday, April 20th.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

On Saturday, gentlemen are invited to wear dark suits with ties, and ladies are invited to wear formal dresses or cocktail-length styles. Spring pastels are warmly encouraged, but by no means required! For the festivities on Friday evening, the attire suggestion is coat, no tie.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a hotel block at the Raleigh Marriott in Crabtree Valley. You can find a booking link on our "Travel & Accommodations" page, or call the hotel directly and mention the "Metzinger-Rogers Wedding." Availability is limited and the last day to book with the special rate is Friday, April 30, 2027.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will be provided for all guests on both Friday and Saturday evenings!

Question

I would prefer to drive myself. What will parking and getting around be like?

Answer

There is ample parking available at both Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral and Carolina Country Club for guests who wish to drive themselves on Saturday. On Friday night, guest parking is available at several locations: City Market Parking Lot: 230 E. Martin Street Raleigh, NC 27601 ($5 nightly rate) Moore Square Parking Deck: 223 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27601 (free after 7pm) Wilmington Station Parking Deck: 117 S Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27601 (free after 7pm)

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2 PM. We kindly ask that you plan to arrive by 1:35 PM in order to allow plenty of time to park or ride-share and be comfortably seated.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Please refrain from taking pictures inside the Cathedral once the ceremony begins. We have a wonderful photographer and videographer joining us for the day.

Question

What time is the reception scheduled to end?

Answer

The reception will end at 10:00 pm. We hope that you will join the rest of the party outside of the main entrance to say goodbye!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

North Carolina weather can be unpredictable, so we recommend checking the weather prior to packing for your trip. In Raleigh, mid to late May usually means warm spring days with plenty of sunshine and slightly milder evenings. The ceremony and reception will be indoors, so you’ll be comfortable no matter the weather. The cocktail hour will include access to an outdoor terrace if you’d like some fresh air.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we’ll have a few children included in the wedding party, such as our flower girl and ring bearers, the celebrations on Saturday will be an adults-only affair. Children are, however, invited to the festivities on Friday! A list of recommended local sitters can be provided upon request.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Please know no gift is expected! Your presence is more than enough. If you would like to give us a gift, we are registered with a few stores, including Quintiessentials (local to Raleigh), Williams-Sonoma, and Amazon. Gifts may be addressed and sent to 121 Sunstone Drive, Cary, NC, 27519.
