Bride
Hi friends and family! Some of you may know me well, but if not, I am sharing some about myself on here! I am originally from Southaven, Mississippi, and went to college at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where I majored in Early Childhood Special Education. Obtaining that degree led me to Lakeland, FL where I had my first job, and then moved over to Sarasota, FL for my second teaching job (which is where I decided to stay and currently am at). I am a kindergarten teacher at Alta Vista Elementary and I love what I do, no matter how tiring the job can actually be. I love the team I work with, and honestly without them, I would not be where I am today. I met Taylor (Briggs) through a dating app when I was visiting my mom here in Sarasota, and the rest was history. We are new home owners and have 3 fur babies (all cats): Moomoo, Leo, and our newest addition, Sonny. I love thrifting, decorating, and spending time at home with my fiance and my cats. I can't wait to celebrate with everyone in March! :) Love, Taylor M.
Groom
Hey everybody! I am Taylor #1 since I was born first. I was born and raised here in Sarasota, FL. I grew up with a strong love for baseball, and still carry that with me today. Most of the people in my wedding have been teammates in different chapters of my playing days. I have recently made some adjustments to my swing in order to take on golf. I met Taylor #2 not long after finishing up at Warner University, and we hit it off quickly. She checked all of the boxes of what I was looking for in a significant other. We spent about 6 months commuting every weekend to see one another and go on dates. After some persuasion and talking up, she decided to move to Sarasota. After a year and a half, and some not-so-subtle hints, I asked her to marry me on the bridge at Waterside. She said yes, and the wedding planning began! Can't wait to share our special day with you all! :) Love, Taylor Briggs
Matron of Honor
Alex is a spectacular kindergarten teacher here in Sarasota, FL. She is the team leader at my school, and that is how Alex and I met one another! She is always the life of the party and makes everyone feel so special! Alex and I became super close very quickly which taught me that the quality of your friends is way more important than the quanity of friends you have. She is an avid thrifter, amazing dog, cat, and chicken mom, and will be an amazing matron of honor in our wedding. Love you Alex!!! -Taylor M.
Best Man
Micah and I met when we were around 4-5 years old and bonded over our love for baseball. We grew up playing anything and everything under the sun, had countless sleepovers, competed with and against each other. I had the honor of standing by him when he married his sweetheart, Lindsey. Throughout the years he has remained one of my closest, most steadfast friends.
Bridesmaid
Macon is from Birmingham, Alabama, and is more of a sister of mine rather than a cousin! She is smart, yet also has an amazing sense of humor. I grew up with Macon, and we always talked about being in each others weddings when we were little girls! She will always be like a little sister to me. She is currently working in Alabama, but I am hoping one day she will move closer to FL so we can visit more frequently! Love, Taylor M.
Groomsman
Tad and I met during my second year at Warner University. He is one of the most easy going, genuine, and positive people I have ever met. We created countless memories on and off the field during our time together at Warner. It would be tough to find Tad and I not quoting the office, speaking like-a Borat, listening to Mike, or talking baseball.
Bridesmaid
Lina is from Poland, and is also a teacher at our school. We also connected instantly after working together for a few months. She is part of our kindergarten team and never fails to make the team laugh or feel valued. She may seem shy at first, but once you get to know her, she quickly becomes a safe space and funny friend! So glad we got so close so quickly! Love, Taylor M.
Groomsman
Andy and I grew up playing baseball together, going to church together, and in the same homeschool organization. Naturally, we spent a lot of time together and cultivated a strong, lasting friendship. We were High School teammates and got the chance to play baseball together one more time at Inspiration Academy, while we looked for opportunities to play in college. He has always been the friend in the group with the most common sense and wisdom, but still laughs at my dumb jokes.
Bridesmaid
Lindsey is from Sarasota, Florida, and actually knew Taylor (Briggs) before me! Our story is kind of funny, because at first I wasn't so sure about her since she was so close to Taylor, but once we got to know each other, I quickly realized why Taylor was friends with her. She is very kind, compassionate, and also very humorous. She never fails to check in on me even when we have not spoken in a while, and she always makes sure I'm doing well physically, mentally, and emotionally. She radiates with kindness inside AND out. Kindly, Taylor M.
Groomsman
Albert and I originally met at a baseball tournament when we were around 16. We became closer friends during our time as teammates at Inspiration Academy. He went to West Virginia to play baseball at Salem International University, where I visited him once to help him drive back to Florida for Christmas break. Albert has a great sense of humor and is selfless almost to a fault.
Bridesmaid
Abey is one of my gym besties from here in FL! We met each other in the gym, and immediatley hit it off. She is the kind of friend that everyone feels comfortable around due to her laid back and sweet personality. We never fail to make each other laugh either in the gym or through text. She is super fun, and loves a good party! Love, Taylor M.
Groomsman
I met Payton through Micah, Andy, and some other mutual friends. We attended baseball camps at Sarasota High School together and eventually were also teammates at Inspiration Academy. Payton is extremely considerate and incredibly smart, especially when it comes to baseball trivia or Dead by Daylight gameplay.
Bridesmaid
Natalie is Taylor (Briggs) sister, and that is how we became close! I have always said I wanted a sibling growing up, and Natalie will be the sister (in law) I always wanted! She is a huge animal lover, which is what I admire so deeply about her! She is a cat and dog mom, and even has a way with horses! She is super kind and very welcoming! That is why I quickly felt so comfortable around her. Love, Taylor M.
Groomsman
Jake and I met at a new student event at Warner University and were teammates there for 5 years. He has incredible character, an unmatched sense of humor, and is a superior story teller; an attribute he undoubtedly got from his dad, Britt. He spent so many nights at my apartment at one point that my landlord threatened to charge extra rent. He was, single-handedly, the best influence on my life during my time in college and wouldn't trade his friendship for anything.
Groomsman
Dalton is my big brother and the one I can hold responsible for my love for baseball. Dalton and I grew up building legos, wrestling, playing outside, and shooting airsoft guns at each other. He is the one that originally told me about Jesus (beyond what I had heard from my parents and at Sunday school) and prayed with me to accept Jesus. He is one of the hardest working people I know and is meticulous about what he puts his name behind.
