Please arrive no earlier than 6pm (when the doors open) and no later than 6:30pm. Parking should not be too terrible, but I would plan for a few extra minutes to walk up, grab a cocktail, and do whatever else is needed to get settled before the ceremony (we did not follow this plan for a recent wedding and regretted it).
Unfortunately, due to capacity restrictions at our venue, we are unable to include kids on the guest list who are not part of the ceremony. We are super bummed. On the bright side though, we are hopeful that this gives all you parents an excuse to call a sitter, put on your dancing shoes, and maybe find your sanity too :)
If a plus one is specified when you RSVP, of course! If there is not a plus one indicated though, then we cannot accommodate them due to venue capacity restrictions.
Your presence is gift enough for us (not to sound cliche, we truly mean this). We are just excited to see you all and celebrate this wonderful day surrounded by lots of love, family, and friends. If you feel inclined though, we have set up a couple of funds on our registry and we would appreciate your support towards those goals. Also, if we brought anything more into our 1940's bungalow, Paul would have to kick Katie out to make room ;)
We encourage guests to come in cocktail attire to enjoy the festivities. You may find yourself stepping outside for a brief second for transitions, but overall the whole venue, including the Orangerie (greenhouse area) should be heated. Still keep in mind, this is Portland in late November....
