We went to school together, grew up in the same town and ran in the same friend group. But, it wasn't until we both graduated college, we started to date. It all started on a boat ride one summer night when Mitch put his arm around me out of nowhere and said, "I might move away for medical school, wanna come?" and we've been inseparable since. -Hannah
A beautiful Saturday morning in Utah, we woke up super early to go to Arches National Park. Once in, we headed straight to Delicate Arch. However, the road had already been closed due to the high number of people there already. To pass the time we went and hiked the Windows section prior to heading back to Delicate Arch to try again! This time we got lucky. After the two mile uphill hike in direct sunlight, we finally reached the destination I had been so nervous for. The arch was amazing, the line we had to wait in to get to the arch - not so amazing. Hannah tried getting out of line and said, "Oh we don't need a photo here,” but I insisted we needed to wait. After waiting about half an hour the big moment was upon us. It was perfect. I have never been as nervous as I was in that moment, but it was beautiful. As soon as I stepped away to get down on one knee Hannah began crying. After pouring out my love for her, I asked "Hannah Rose Salmi, will you marry me?" and I wasn't the only one who was worried when she didn’t respond, because the crowd had a subtle pause in their cheering until she was able to nod/stop crying and say "Yes." -Mitch
