Hey! I wasn't invited!

Answer

We are trying to keep this ceremony small! We are thinking of putting on a second reception in 1+ years, and inviting all the friends and extended family that we could not fit for March 8th. You will be invited to that! We will be streaming this wedding (and any speeches) online for everyone not attending. We will update this website with the link when we have it. It will be password protected, please reach out to us for the password.

Is there a room block or hotel?

Answer

We have booked rooms at the 1820 House in Simsbury, a bed and breakfast just down the street from the ceremony venue. We are booking rooms for our guests, so please reach out to us ASAP if you want to be included. We will need only the names of guests and the number of rooms.

Why is this a vegetarian event?

Answer

We eat vegetarian every day at home, and we want to share the joys of eating your vegetables! But honestly, Amy does not enjoy the smell of meat while eating. This is ONE event in her life where we can choose that meat will not be served.

Will there be a dance floor?

No.

Why wasn't XYZ relative/friend invited? Don't you love them?

Answer

Yes, we do indeed love XYZ relative/friend very much. We are putting this event together very quickly and have limited the guest count to make it easier to plan. We are thinking of planning a larger reception in a year or two, which would include XYZ relative/friend and their family.

What about gifts?

Answer

Your presence, physically or virtually, is already a gift! Other presents are not expected but always appreciated. We have a registry tab at the top of the page if you would like to send us a gift through Zola.
