Our story began on January 1, 2022 – amusingly before we actually met one another. Khalil attended a New Years card game tournament at Lydia’s parent’s home while Lydia was on the other side of the world reaching the Philippines for Christ. Unbeknownst to Khalil, a group photo of the event was sent to Lydia and this is where it all started… well for Lydia at least. When we finally met each other 3 months later, our worlds collided at Motion Church – where Khalil found himself speechless (in the best way possible), and where Lydia would beg to differ (he talked a lot). We began dating shortly after, on June 9th 2023, and over the years we fell more and more in love with each other and with the Church as we served alongside one another for three years at Motion Christian College. On October 7, 2025 – Khalil proposed to Lydia, and once engaged we planned to marry the following summer. We are greatly appreciative of all the love, generosity, support and prayer that you all have poured into our lives thus far!
