We're Getting Married!

Derek and I have known each other since about 2018 when we derbied against eachother. Then after that night he had followed me on instagram. A year later he liked all of my pictures and had caught my attention. June of 2019 we started officially talking and then a month later in July he had asked me to be his girlfriend while watching Toy Story 4 at the Drive In in Long Prairie. We’ve enjoyed lots together like derbies, Duluth, and occasional date nights ;) Our trip to Duluth in July 2021 was by far the most memorable.

We went up to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. We went to Gooseberry Falls and enjoyed the waterfalls, and river. We decided we wanted to hike along the river to the lake shore. It ended up being about 2 miles. It was worth it. Once we got there we enjoyed the view and the blue color of the lake. It was at this moment that I didn't know what he had up his sleeve. I had my back turned to him looking and gazing around, really taking it all in, when he said “Kayla, I have a question.” In confusion I turned around and there he was on one knee with a ring! Now here we are planning a wedding! How exciting! We hope you can join us, to celebrate our love, and marriage.
