Mersi is an English Language Arts and AVID teacher at Garry Middle school where she teaches 7th and 8th graders. Mersi was born in Colorado but grew up in Chewelah, Washington. Mersi graduated from EWU in 2012. Her parents, Roberta and Patrick Steggall, are the two most influential people in Mersi’s life. She owes all her successes to them, especially her mother. Mersi cares about her family and friends more than anything! She also loves her cats, Luna and Cleo, and hopes to get a Shiba Inu dog after the wedding.
Alicia Johnston
Maid of Honor
Alicia and Mersi have been friends since Mersi’s sophomore year of college. They met in Alicia’s dorm and instantly became best friends. They enjoy shenanigan time, being beer pong champs, building forts together and being part of the D Team! Alicia is kind, hilarious, and an animal lover! Get to know her because she is a good time for sure! You’ll want to party with this girl!
Stephanie Blake
Bridesmaid
Stephanie and Mersi met during Mersi’s junior year of college but become close friends the next year. Stephanie and Mersi love celebrating their birthdays together (Steph-Fest and Mers-A-Palooza), and enjoy getting together as often as possible. Stephanie is an amazing mom to a gorgeous girl (Stevie) who will also be the flower girl in the wedding. Stephanie has RBF but don’t let that scare you away, she is so sweet and always a fun time!
Becca McNeil

Becca and Mersi have been friends since Mersi’s sophomore year of college. Even though they both went to EWU, they first met at Nordstrom where they both worked and where Mersi had to train Becca. They instantly become best friends and have so many stories from the past 10 years together. Becca and Mersi love to have fun together and talk everyday! Becca is always giving to others and is always making people smile. She will definitely make you laugh with her silliness!
Jordan Sargent

Jordan works as a Client Service Specialist for Principal Financial Group. Jordan grew up on Lake Sacheen north of Riverside where he went to school. Jordan was born in Georgia but has lived in Washington since he was a kid. Jordan is extremely crafty and can fix or make anything! His parents, Denise and Jason (Jay) Sargent, have been his role models and constant support system forever. He wouldn’t be able to do anything without their love and support. Jordan also loves their cats but would enjoy a dog as well. Jordan loves playing sports, running, and eating Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Tylar Loewen
Best Man
Tylar and Jordan met when they were kids at Sacheen Lake. Tylar and Jordan were friends right away and became best friends from there on out. They enjoy video games, wake-boarding, and hanging out whenever Tylar is home from fishing in Alaska. Tylar is an amazing friend and has always been there for Jordan! Tylar is a fun time as well!

Jordan met Josh in middle school and have been best friends since! Jordan and Josh also lived in the house Jordan and Mersi live in now before they bought it! Josh is father to an adorable baby boy named Wesley, who will also be the ring bearer for the wedding. Josh is always laughing and always having fun! Jordan and Josh love diving into video games and love going camping or going on other adventures together. Josh is beyond caring and is someone you all should meet!

Blake is good friends with both Mersi and Jordan. Blake met Jordan in high school and later lived with Jordan in college, where they both met Mersi. Blake is always there if Mersi or Jordan need anything! Jordan and Blake love hiking, running, gardening, and playing basketball together. Blake is always in a good mood and is so knowledgeable about so many things! Get to know this guy!
