Anna Maria Island
Once a best-kept secret among Floridians, Anna Maria Island has always been known for its sugar-white beach coastline, emerald green and blue Gulf waters and quaint business districts. Anna Maria Island is a place where “old” Florida charm can still be found, flip flops are a way of life and the speed limit never exceeds 35mph. High rise condos and fast food restaurants are pleasantly absent from this beautiful and charming paradise.
Downtown Bradenton Public Market
A quick stroll down the street from the hotel on Saturday morning will bring you to the weekly local farmers' market. "Locally-grown produce, local art and crafts, live music, and food are available from 9am to 2pm at the Bradenton Public Market on Main Street!"
The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature
Walking distance from the hotel, The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature is a blast for the whole family! While they are known for their year-round Manatee Exhibit and Planetarium, the week of the wedding there will also be a Dinosaur Exhibit- DinoVenture! "Meet life-size robotic dinosaurs that move, breathe, and roar as DinoVenture transports you back to the Cretaceous Period!"
ArtCenter Manatee
Walking distance from the hotel, ArtCenter Manatee is the "premier center for art, art education and unique gifts in Manatee County." The week of the wedding the center will be showcasing their 2021 Holiday Extravaganza, featuring holiday trees decked to their fullest with hundreds of handmade ornaments, and new this year, handmade holiday décor, gifts and more. "The nearly 10,000 sq. ft. building in downtown Bradenton features three galleries with exhibits that change monthly, five classrooms that hold over 3,000 students every year, a LiveArtFully gift shop, and an art library featuring over 3,000 art volumes."
Village of the Arts
Not quite walking distance, but close! The Village of the Arts is a vibrant art community home to galleries, studios, restaurants and specialty shops housed in colorfully restored 1920s bungalows. Located five blocks from downtown Bradenton, the Village offers an eclectic mix of art, fashion, jewelry, music, wellness, gourmet cuisine and literature, making it a unique destination for both tourists and locals alike.
Riverwalk
Overlooking the Manatee River and steps from our hotel, the Riverwalk is 1.5-miles of beautiful wide walking paths. Along the way you will will find a skate park, volleyball court, fishing pier, playground, splash pad, and gorgeous views of the Manatee River and surrounding marinas. Many locals report dolphin & manatee sightings and beautiful sunset views!
