It all started with fake IDs and a tequila shot... The roots were laid in Marketing 300 with Professor Parker our Sophomore year at the University of San Diego. The cute girl in the back left of class had a subliminal effect on me over the course of the semester. During the last week of school, it hit me like a ton of bricks that I had to be with her. A few lay claim to facilitating that first introduction at the Pennant (our local college dive bar), but if my memory serves me well, I marched right up to her on my own gumption. A riveting, tequila infused conversation took place before parting ways for what would be 7 long months. Tori would spend the Summer in Denver before going abroad on Semester at Sea that coming Fall. I distinctly remember venting to a friend about how this girl I’d met at the bar the night before was going to be my future wife. And while he was laughing and giving me a hard time, not a single part of me was kidding around. It was perfectly clear to me that Tori was my future. Upon her return to school that Spring, things somehow fell right into place... Just like I drew it up in my head a thousand times. 5 years later and that crush has grown into a love that I never thought possible for myself.
