As we are sure you can imagine, we are closely monitoring COVID and how it will impact our wedding plans. We are thrilled that we are one step closer to celebrating with you, and the health and safety of all of guests continues to be our top priority. As such, we are asking all of our guests who are not fully vaccinated to please take a COVID test 48-72 hours prior to our wedding. We will also have masks available at the door for those who would like one.
It all started in December of 2016 at a Christmas party thrown by mutual friends of ours. Louis and I had never met before, but I recognized him from the previous week at Zippy's. During the party, we ended up talking and I thought we couldn't have been more opposite. After a few months of hanging out as friends, I found we had more in common than I thought. We went on our first date at Kalurah Street Grill and started dating on Fat Tuesday in 2017, and the rest as they say, is history!
It was February 2021, and my parents were coming to our house in Baton Rouge to celebrate my dad's birthday. My dad's favorite food is pizza, so they picked up a bunch of pizzas from Red Zepplin and headed over to our house. Before they arrived, I noticed Louis seemed a little anxious, but I didn't think too much into it. He told me that his mom, Gene, Frances, Andrew, and Anna were all coming over as well to eat with us. Once everyone arrived, we were all sitting in the backyard and I am chowing down on my pizza when I see Louis walk up next to me and starts making this speech. Everyone else outside gets completely silent and that is when I knew IT WAS HAPPENING. Louis asked me to marry him in the backyard of our house surrounded by all the people we love.
