Jason & I met through a dating app called “Plenty of Fish”. I was actually at a bachelorette party when he first messaged me, but I was so intriuged by his first message that I messaged him back right away. We talked non-stop for three days until we decided we couldn’t wait any longer to meet in person. We decided to meet for coffee at a local Starbucks on October 24, 2017. When we first met in person, my heart soared. We just had SO much in common, including both owning red Ford Focuses with dents in the back. We ended up staying at Starbucks until 3 in the morning talking and getting to know each other. That night forever changed our lives and we've been inseparable ever since.
If you know us, then you most likely know that Jason and I cannot keep secrets from each other... which is GREAT! Except when it comes to planning sweet surprises for each other, ha. We are also completely homebodies, barely going out so when Jason suggested two days in a row that we should do an Escape Room out of the blue, I immediately started badgering him with questions (I HATE surprises, they fill me with anxiety). Eventually I guessed that he was planning on proposing at the end of the Escape Room, making the ring the last "clue". Such a cute idea that I ruined - go me! A couple weeks later, we were hanging out one Saturday night and I randomly stated I was bored and wanted to go do something - we booked an Escape Room for an hour later and I went to take a quick shower. Unbeknownst to me, Jason took that opportunity to get the ring and hide it in his pocket. Since we decided such last minute to go, he didn't have time to conspire with the Escape Room staff to hide the ring BUT he had another plan in mind. After we escaped the room, we went to have our picture taken by the staff, while we were taking pictures, Jason got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him! It was so special and I was caught completely off guard. Easily the best surprise I've ever experienced. We are so happy to spend the rest of our lives together and even more excited to see what the future holds!
