Our neighborhood "bar" - a perfect stop for ice cream, sundaes, or egg creams!
Excellent pastries, to-go lunch food, and coffee.
Famously good pizza (but there will be a line)!
Also famously good pizza (and rarely has a line)!
Both Court and Smith Street, from Atlantic Avenue (also worth exploring) down to around Nelson Street, have great local stores that are fun to explore. Favorites include: Su'juk Cobble Hill, Lolo, Woods Grove, Painted Swan, and Something Else on Smith. There are also plenty of great bars and restaurants - just wander around and you'll find somewhere fun!
Fantastic sandwiches.
A lovely place to walk and take in views of Manhattan. From here, you can head down to Brooklyn Bridge Park and continue your walk on the water. There are lots of great spots for picnics! If you need a snack, stop at OddFellows for ice cream.
Great brewery on the water in Red Hook. Also worth visiting in Red Hook: Apotheke for Brooklyn-made candles and Steve's Authentic Key Lime Pie for obvious reasons.
