Why are you both hyphenating your last names?
Answer
We really wanted our last name to represent both of us collectively, our two lives officially combining into one after 12 years together, rather than the traditional route of Kayla taking the Greene name and dropping Merkel. We have both decided to hyphenate our last names to Merkel-Greene to honor each others father. Scott's father passed away on March 30, 2022, and Kayla's father raised her and her sister alone starting in their early teenage years.

When should I RSVP by?
Answer
If you are able to RSVP as soon as you receive your invitation, that would be extremely helpful! We ask that you RSVP before Sunday, October 12th. After that, unfortunately, any unanswered invites will have to be marked as "not attending" due to our vendors cut off dates.

How should I RSVP?
Answer
Your invitation will have a QR code that you can scan by simply opening the camera on your phone and holding it in view of the code. A link will appear to open our website and you will search your name to RSVP. You can also select the "RSVP" Tab at the top of the screen and search your name. If neither of these work, please call or text Kayla at 440-453-7486 by Sunday October 12th.

Is parking available nearby the venue?
Answer
There are multiple parking lots on site very close by. If you are limited in mobility, we will be in touch with more specific places to park that will accommodate you without any concern!

Is the wedding indoor or outdoor?
Answer
Indoor of course! The venue has a chapel where the ceremony will take place and the reception venue is right in front of the chapel. However, there is plenty of outdoor space to mingle, hang out, and get some fresh air.

What should I wear?
Answer
We would love if you wanted to dress up and make yourself feel good on our day, however, we ultimately just want you to be yourself and come as you are!

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
We kindly ask that you only bring whoever is named on your invitation to our special day due to limited space within the venue. If you did receive a plus one, it will be listed on your invitations and will appear under your name when you RSVP through the website.

Please feel free to bring any children specifically listed on your invitation.

What type of food are we having?
Answer
City BBQ is catering! We will have a buffet of pulled pork, bone-in chicken, green beans and bacon, and corn bread casserole. There will be a vegetarian and vegan option as well! During cocktail hour we will serve meat/cheese and fruit trays. There will be a dessert table to enjoy after dinner.

Answer
Of course! We ask that all guests please drink responsibly and do not drive if you plan on drinking. Please make arrangements for a safe ride home. We can't wait to celebrate accordingly!

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony to give yourself plenty of time to park and find a seat.

Am I allowed to take photos with my cell phone during the reception?
Answer
We are paying a very lovely and professional photographer to capture pictures for the day. During the ceremony, please refrain from standing up or getting into the aisle to take pictures to avoid any interference with our wonderful photographer.

Are you registered anywhere?
Answer
We appreciate you thinking of us! Although your presence is the best gift we could receive, we appreciate that some would like to know about a physical gift. We plan to take a honeymoon shortly after the wedding and would love any contribution to our honeymoon fund!
