Hannah and Chris's careers took them all over the country, from Alaska to Ohio, but as fate would have it they both landed in Tucson AZ. They met at Rocks and Ropes climbing gym, where Chris developed a crush on fellow rock climber Hannah. After a fun night of climbing together, Chris asked Hannah for her number, and the rest is history. On a perfect Sunday in February, the two went for a hike in Sabino Canyon where they expressed their romantic interest in each other. As the weeks went on, they enjoyed climbing together, going to bars and restaurants, and exploring all Tucson had to offer. However, they faced a major obstacle. Chris already had plans to move back to Detroit, while Hannah had a job in Tucson. They both decided they would try to make long distance work, as they saw that their relationship was special. From that point on, they took turns flying to see each other every couple of weeks. They called often, played video games together, and cherished the little time they got to have in person. They kept up this routine for 1.5 years! Even though it was hard, they knew it was worth it. As time progressed, their love for each other continued to grow stronger. They were ready for their time of doing long distance to end, and Hannah starting making plans to join Chris in Michigan. During this time, Chris also starting making plans to propose. On a last minute trip to the lake house, Chris got down on one knee and asked Hannah to be his bride! Hannah and Chris now spend their time in Ferndale MI, finally together after many months of long distance. They still enjoy their classic hobbies; climbing, watching sports, playing video games, while also exploring Michigan and going on new adventures. They can't wait to get married and celebrate with their friends and family November 2026!
