We're getting married!

Some love stories start with a swipe. Ours started with… a job offer. In October 2021, Merisa joined the company where Tom was already working and yes, he was technically her boss. (And just to make things more interesting… also HR. Don’t worry, no actual rules were broken. Probably.) Things stayed professional for a while, but by January 2022 it was clear there was something more going on. Between all the chats, laughs and badly timed Mumford & Sons singalongs, things took a turn, in the best possible way. Most of the early days were spent on a Bangkok rooftop, drinking wine, playing music, and figuring each other out. It wasn’t exactly traditional, but it felt right. Somewhere along the line, we realised this was the real deal. By June, Merisa found herself meeting Tom’s family, which includes seven siblings (yes, seven!) and two very welcoming parents. She passed with flying colors. In January 2024, life delivered its sweetest surprise: they were expecting a baby! That April, Tom met Merisa’s family during a visit to South Africa and by August 2024, they packed up their life and relocated to South Africa together. October 2024 brought two beautiful milestones: a proposal (spoiler alert: she said yes!) and the arrival of their gorgeous daughter, Isla-Mae. With a new country, a new baby, and a new chapter unfolding, they officially tied the knot with a small legal ceremony on 9 January 2025. But of course, they always knew they wanted to gather all their favorite people for one big celebration. And so, here we are, on 9 April 2026, finally celebrating this beautiful, funny, slightly unconventional love story with all of you.
