Question

Your wedding is on Sunday, does it count as my Sunday Mass obligation?

Answer

Yes it does!

Question

Can I receive the Eucharist during the Mass?

Answer

In the Catholic faith, receiving the Eucharist is a sacred act reserved for those who are in a state of grace. This means that unless you are a baptized Catholic, free from mortal sin, and actively practicing your faith, you are not permitted to receive the Eucharist. Catholics who have not been attending Mass regularly or participating in the sacrament of confession may not receive the Eucharist either, as they are not in full communion with the Church. The Church teaches that only those who are spiritually prepared—having confessed and repented of their sins—are eligible to partake in the Body and Blood of Christ. This is because the Eucharist is not just a symbol but a profound union with Christ, and receiving it unworthily is seen as a violation of the sacrament’s sacredness. Therefore, one must ensure they are in a state of grace and actively practicing their faith before receiving the Eucharist. In short, unless you are in a state of grace (a baptized Catholic, attending mass each Sunday, receiving the sacrament of confession, and are not in a state of mortal sin), you may not receive the Eucharist during mass. Thank you for respecting and adhering to the teachings of the Church as we asked, ensuring the reverence and holiness of this sacrament.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal attire is requested. We ask that everyone dress modestly in the church to honor the sanctity of the Mass. We kindly ask that backs and shoulders be covered during the ceremony and that skirts and dresses come down to at least the knees. Veils are completely optional but welcome for those who wish to wear one. Your thoughtful attire will help create a reverent and respectful atmosphere as we celebrate this sacred occasion together. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least 15-30 minutes before the ceremony to give yourself plenty of time to find a seat and get settled.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

In order to be fully present with us during the ceremony and to respect the sanctity of the nuptial Mass, we ask you to kindly refrain from taking pictures or videos during the ceremony. Due to the sacred space in the chapel our photographers are fully aware of the reverence the Mass deserves and will make sure to get all the photos we need.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Children are more than welcome to the wedding ceremony, but unless specified on your invitation that your little ones are invited to the reception, we ask that you not bring them. Due to a limited guest list, we can't promise everyone can bring their children, but you all are free to reach out and we will be happy to answer any questions.

Answer

Question

Answer
