Question

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

Get dressed up with us! Please wear your nicest cocktail attire, but do not feel the need to go full-blown black tie. Fancier cocktail dresses of midi or full length, suits in darker hues, and dressy jumpsuits are encouraged. The event is entirely outdoors and the temperature is forecasted around 72 degrees in the daytime but may get down to 60 degrees at night. So, please bring a sweater and/or jacket for the evening hours. There will be heaters and fire pits, as well. Those in heels need not worry about sinking in the grass as the venue has cobblestone and turf. You may want to bring sunglasses and sunscreen for the earlier hours of the event.

Question

IS THE CEREMONY JEWISH OR CATHOLIC?

Answer

We are excited to build a custom wedding ceremony that blends elements from both of our traditions that speak to us. We are both deeply grateful for the positive influences our different religious backgrounds have had on our families, communities, and senses of self. You will see aspects of both Jewish and Catholic traditions incorporated into our special day, but the ceremony is technically neither Jewish nor Catholic.

Question

IS THERE PARKING AT THE VENUE?

Answer

Our venue is mountainside with limited, complimentary valet parking. We are providing shuttle transportation to and from the venue and request you use that (better for the earth if we carpool, anyways!). You are welcome to park at the Hyatt Regency Westlake and take the 3:30 PM shuttle from there. See "Travel" page of this website for more details.

Question

WHERE SHOULD WE STAY?

Answer

Please see the “Travel” page for a range of hotel options.

Question

WHAT TIME SHOULD WE ARRIVE FOR THE CEREMONY?

Answer

If you are driving yourself, please arrive on time for a 4 PM ceremony. If you are taking the shuttle from the Hyatt Regency Westlake, please arrive there at 3 PM as the shuttles will be leaving at 3:30 PM sharp. Please see the "Travel" page for more information about the shuttle service.

Question

CAN I BRING A +1?

Answer

Our venue has a strict capacity limitation and as a result, we unfortunately have to limit +1s. We greatly appreciate your understanding. Please reference your Save the Date and Invitation envelopes if you are unsure whether your partner is invited - it specifies each invitee by name.

Question

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?

Answer

Our venue has a strict capacity limitation and as a result, we unfortunately have to limit the number of children invited. We greatly appreciate your understanding. Please reference your Save the Date and Invitation if you are unsure which members of your family are invited - it specifies each invitee by name. We are more than happy to help you find local babysitters and we hope you can enjoy a date night out!

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Please note that transportation is provided to and from the wedding venue ONLY. There is not a shuttle for transportation to other events on our wedding weekend. Plus, if you would like to explore the area with your free time while you're in town, it will may be easier to rent a car. However, there are Ubers and other ride share services available around most of Malibu, LA, and the surrounding areas. We recommend you plan how many rides you would need for your desired plans that weekend and decide whether Ubering or renting a car makes more sense for you.
