It all started in 2nd grade at Hilltop Elementary School. David's earliest memory of Elena dates back to Mr. Scurich's music class on a day that David was feeling extra rambunctious. David stood up during class and screamed for no good reason. Naturally, Mr. Scurich warned that if it happened again, David would have to stay with him during lunch. The rest of the class went by without incident, and the bell rang. Mr. Scurich decided that it was still best for David to stay during lunch, but Elena immediately vouched for David and told Mr. Scurich that he should not have to because he was very well behaved for the rest of class. Elena has been keeping David out of trouble since '05. Fastforward to Sophomore year of High School. David and Elena were two of the last kids in their grade to get their drivers licenses, which resulted in hours of waiting, for their parents to come pick them up after school. That left much room for chatting, laughing, and joking around. They both knew something was there as their friendship continued to grow and, finally, David asked Elena to their first dance. David and Elena have been creating their life together for the last 7 years. Each year has brought new experiences, adventures, and opportunities for them to grow in their relationship. It's time to officially seal the deal on September 4th and the countdown has begun!
