For me as a kid, this was one of my favorite places to go. I used to go here quite a bit with my Aunt Amy and Uncle Steve. This place is still running, which is nice to see. They have added batting cages and have a mini golf course now. This was the place to go to have a little fun and is great because it is away from the crowds.

Daytona Beach (Board Walk and Beach Pier)

North Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32118

While in the Daytona beach area, a must see and do is the the world famous Daytona beach board walk. It was built in 1938 and has ocean side shops and arcades. Because its on nice white sands, it's nice place for a fun filled day trip or a nice walk up and the down the beach at sunset. They have updated this place a lot over the years. They now have band shell that will have live bands there are also a lot on nice bars located right down main street. Also during bike week, be prepared to pay for parking and main street is closed for bikes only. I recommend walking down main st and looking at all the cool bikes.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

Space Commerce Way, Merritt Island, FL 32953
, (855) 433-4210

If you have some time or come in a few days early, NASA is a great place to go see history and the place where the space race started. It's amazing to see these giant rockets and different programs they have. They do offer a military rate for $50. It's a very history rich place to see if you love all things space. If you take the us 1 s route to i 95s there are a couple place to stop to see manatees as well.

If your not from Florida, then you might not know that Florida was discovered by Juan Ponce de León in 1513 and was a Spanish colony. Going here is like stepping backing time. This is Florida's equivalent to Virgina's Williamsburg or Ohio's Historic Lyme Village.
