A Sammi and Meredith Staple (where Meredith proposed to Sammi)! We recommend any beer, a grilled cheese with tomato soup, and spinach & artichoke dip.
L'Appartement 4F
The BEST croissants you'll ever have! You might find a line, but it moves fast and is so worth it. Grab a pastry and head to the Brooklyn Promenade for amazing Manhattan views (and to recreate Sammi's proposal to Meredith)!
Brooklyn Heights Promenade
Sammi loves to walk and this is one of the only places she can reliably convince Meredith to walk aimlessly! Worth it with or without the croissant. Take a stroll and walk down the path to DUMBO.
Caffè De Martini
Where we first became "regulars" in Brooklyn! Grab a coffee and sweet treat at this authentic Italian coffee shop, we recommend the pistachio cornetto and a cappuccino.
Ozakaya
Our take on the neighborhood's best sushi! We recommend any tuna roll and the bari cabbage salad.
Smith Street Bagels
Our favorite bagel shop, located in the heart of Cobble Hill. Get the "mocha special" bagel sandwich and ask for pastrami lox!
F&F Pizzeria — The Slice Shop
We like, love pizza. This is Meredith's favorite. We dream about the Portana slice regularly. Highly recommend grabbing a few slices/pies to go and heading to Other Half for a beer or two.
Other Half Brewing Company
Our favorite NY beer! They allow outside food, so get F&F or sandwiches from Court Street to go with your drinks.
Best Pizza
Unassuming pizza shop with the best garlic knots. We suggest a cheese pizza topped with caramelized onions.
The Four Horsemen
This is our favorite date night wine bar for a special occasion. Make a reservation a month in advance, or take a chance on the walk-in line. We highly recommend the warm house bread and creme caramel dessert!
L'Industrie Pizzeria
They have a location in the West Village, but we like the Williamsburg one more. Meredth loves the classic margarita, Sammi prefers the burratta.
Cocoron
Small, cash-only soba shop! Must Order: Vegan (yes, it's best) Mera Mera Soba Warm
Cafe Himalaya
No frills, but so so good. Our go-to order includes: Potato Momos, Chili Dofu, and Pan Fried Noodles.
Antler
The only address we know by heart is Antler. We made a pact that if we ever got lost, without our phones, we would meet up at 123 Allen Street for a beer and great music.
Drop Off Service
A special place for the Ausenbaugh Siegel house! When Meredith moved to New York, this was the only bar she really knew (thanks to, like many things, Elyse!), and Sammi used to come a lot with her dad and brother. This is also the first place Sammi met Meredith's sister, sister in law, and the best dog ever, Debbie!
