Kansas City, I'm so in love.

We hope you have some time to explore the metropolitan area that we call home. We've listed a few of our favorite activities to get you started. Kansas City has so much to offer! Many small micro breweries, plenty of wineries, an excellent restaurant scene, museums, beautiful parks (baseball stadium included) and fun places to shop!

Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que

3002 West 47th Street, Kansas City, KS 66103
, (913) 722-3366

Joe's KC (formerly Oklahoma Joe's) is Meredith's favorite KC bbq spot. The original location listed here is an actively working gas station that also sells disc golf supplies. How cool! Her recommendation: The Z-Man with sauce on the side and an order of fries. Rhea would suggest burnt ends, fries and baked beans.

Boulevard Brewing Tours & Recreation Center Beer Hall

2534 Madison Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64108
, (816) 701-7247

Like craft beer? Kansas city has some of the best! While there are several very incredible micro breweries in town, Boulevard is certainly the most widely known. The new beer hall is a great space for catching up with old friends, meeting new ones and enjoying a great view of downtown KC. If you time it right you may even be able to take a tour!

KC Wine Co

13875 South Gardner Road, Olathe, KS 66061
, (913) 484-6251

Fun spot in Oooooolathe where Meredith grew up to try out some local Kansas wine. They usually have fun events on the weekends. Most importantly, the patio is great and there are humongous Adirondack chairs by the lake! Be sure to try a wine slush.

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

4525 Oak Street, Kansas City, MO 64111
, (816) 751-1278

Free art museum! You heard us right; FREE. The Nelson is a beautiful museum with art pieces from around the globe. The lawn is enormous and is also a sculpture garden. You'll find some iconic KC landmarks to photograph while you're here.

National WWI Museum and Memorial

2 Memorial Drive, Kansas City, MO 64108
, (816) 888-8100

The National WWI Museum in Kansas City is world renowned and 100% worth a visit. In addition to being a breathtaking memorial as well and an educational museum, you'll get a one of a kind view of the city. Bring your camera!

Kansas City Royals Baseball

1 Royal Way, Kansas City, MO 64129
, (816) 504-4040

The Royals are in town for the weekend! You should try to catch a game on Friday or Sunday!

For all the days along the way
