Question

Theres no registry, what should I get for a gift?

Answer

Since we've lived in our home for about 7 years now, we don't really need anything new! If you choose to give a gift, please consider donating to our honeymoon fund :) for our honeymoon, we are planning to go on a cross country national parks road trip. The funds from our honeymoon fund will allow us to travel cross country and live out our dream of visiting national parks around the country such as Yellowstone, Yosemite and Sequoia.

What is the situation with food and alcohol?

Answer

We will have a cocktail hour (or 2) while the photographer is taking pictures of the bride, groom and wedding party. During this time there will be light appetizers and the bar will be open. Dinner will be served around 4:30. Dinner will be buffet style and will consist of home style chicken with roast potatoes and veggies and chicken parm. The bar will be open throughout with basic alcoholic beverages however there is no BYOB allowed so if you have any specific preferences for alcohol feel free to let me know so I can try to accommodate as we have to buy the alcohol beforehand. Please let me know if you have any questions or specific requests!

What to expect from the wedding?

The wedding ceremony and reception will take place at Pachaug Cottages, 1 Cottage Rd Griswold, CT. If you are unsure how to get there you can use Google maps or Waze. The ceremony will be in a grassy area in front of a lake and pavilion area for the reception. After the ceremony will be a cocktail hour with light appetizers and drinks, and we will have dinner around 4:30. There will be a fire pit and smores so you can sit by the fire and relax, or dance on the grass or pavilion. Since we are by a lake it can get chilly and windy especially at night so be sure to dress accordingly!
