Landon and I have known each other since high school, sharing hallways, memories, and even the same prom group never realizing that our story was quietly unfolding as God was orchestrating our forever. Our younger years were filled with movement and momentum, mine spent dancing across stages, his spent playing baseball through college. That same drive and determination quietly wove a bond between us from the very beginning. Though our paths crossed early, it wasn’t until a year or so after college that friendship gently turned into something more. From the very beginning, everything felt easy. Our “get to know you” phase passed like a breeze, and before we knew it, we were building something serious and certain. At the start of our relationship, Landon was traveling for work, driving nearly eleven hours back to Lexington every single weekend just to be together. The days leading up to those weekends felt like eternity until love won, and Landon decided traveling was not for him. Six months in, we both knew this was forever. I just had to wait two and a half years for the ring and it was more than worth it. Landon planned the sweetest surprise right in front of my house at ten o’clock in the morning. With the help of his closest friends who quietly lined every step with flowers at 8 a.m., hoping I wouldn’t look out the window and our families, he created a moment we’ll treasure forever. On the weekends, you’ll find us cozied up binge-watching movies, exploring new restaurants, cheering on the Cats, and surrounding ourselves with friends and family. Our favorite place in the world is the beach. It’s where we feel most ourselves, most at peace, and most happy and it’s where we’ll begin our next adventure together on our honeymoon. We thank God every day that a casual high school friendship grew into something so beautiful. Now, we get to celebrate the best day of our lives surrounded by the people we love most, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead!
