The Geneva Lake Shore Path is a public trail that winds around the entire perimeter of Geneva Lake. It provides a glimpse into the rich history of the area and some of the Midwest's most beautiful homes and gardens. The shore path meanders along the lakeshore, crossing the front lawns of lakefront estates, beaches, and public parks. The entire shore path is just over 20 miles in length and takes 8 to 10 hours to walk in its entirety.

Lincoln Park is a famous public park in Chicago with several walking paths that offer views of various ponds, harbors, plantlife, wildlife, and public art installations. It is home to the Lincoln Park Zoo, Lincoln Park Conservatory, Green City Farmer's Market, and the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. This is a very special area to us because Jim proposed in Lincoln Park, and our first apartment together was right across the street!
While there are many museums and attractions in Chicago, we absolutely love the Shedd Aquarium! It is home to a few of our favorite animals and offers incredible views of the city.
Grant Park is a another famous public park in Chicago that has endless things to see! We suggest walking to Buckingham Fountain, exploring the Art Institute of Chicago, or heading north to Millennium Park to check out the famous 'bean' sculpture. The Chicago Lakefront Trail is also very close to Grant Park and provides views of both Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago.
The Third Ward neighborhood in Milwaukee has a ton of cute shops, bars, and restaurants, and it is a great area to spend an afternoon walking around. Some of our favorite spots here are Café Benelux, Blue Bat Kitchen, and Sweet Diner. This area is special to us because it is home to the theater where Meredith often rehearsed and performed with Water Street Dance Milwaukee!
The Milwaukee Public Market is an iconic marketplace which has baked goods, cheeses, meats, spices, and lots of other knick-knacks and merchandise. It’s a great place to stop for lunch and try some old-fashioned Wisconsin cheese and beer!
