Our Story

From Bumble beginnings to shared dreams & adventures, we found our forever together

Meredith & Frankie met on the popular online dating website, Bumble, in July 2019. Meredith was instantly drawn to some of the quirky photos on his profile, while Frankie was intrigued by Meredith's silver-lining mindset. Their first date at The Poynt in Newburyport turned into hours of conversation, eventually leading to a walk along the boardwalk and an evening cocktail at the Black Cow—closing it down and finding themselves alone on the upstairs patio with no staff in sight! Just days later, their second date during Yankee Homecoming ended with a first kiss by the fire at a local pub and helping two young kids stranded with a broken-down car, making sure AAA arrived. While they waited at the Thirsty Whale, the kids asked how long they had been together. After hearing their “two-date” story, the kids jokingly replied that they wanted to be invited to their future wedding- where are they?! A few months of distance did not slow them down. Jed & Archie met. They bonded over trips to Canada, NYC, Vermont, and New Orleans; birthday helicopter rides; job promotions; and a shared love for adventure and making memories. Meredith and Jed moved from Connecticut to Newburyport in November 2019, which only accelerated their relationship—just in time for the holidays and wrestling season. The first “I love you” was on a trip to NYC in February 2020. They were at the Olive Tree Café, the restaurant above NYC’s famous Comedy Cellar, fitted with chalkboard tables. Meredith thought she would be clever and challenge Frankie to a game of hangman. She gave Frankie the phrase “I love you” to figure out—maybe trying to trick him into saying it out loud first. The feelings were mutual, and it is still one of Frankie's favorite pictures. Both came into the relationship with their dogs, Archie and Jed, who quickly became their “children,” as Meredith and Frankie decided they didn't want human kids. Life’s challenges briefly pulled them apart, but they always found their way back to each other. Meredith & Frankie love to spend time on Plum Island, where they recharge and simply enjoy being together. Plum Island is where many of their earliest memories were made, spending most of the initial COVID year there. From beach jams to wild winter storms, it is their special place. Together, they have explored Meredith’s newly found Native American ancestry, with Frankie fully embracing every aspect—as he does with most of her passions. It also shows how they challenge each other. Frankie’s big, fun personality complements Meredith’s more shy, observant nature; they balance each other. An example of this is their first New Year’s together—when Meredith knew Frankie was the one. They went skiing in Vermont. Meredith requested to start on a green run, having not skied in years, and Frankie agreed. After the first descent, Meredith realized it was more challenging than expected and said so out loud. Frankie smiled and confirmed it wasn’t really a green run—but he wanted to see how she would rise to the challenge, confident that she could handle it. Although slightly annoyed, this was exactly what Meredith was looking for in a life partner: someone to push her to be her best and believe in her. Frankie’s true passion and love for the sport of wrestling are met with Meredith’s unwavering support. Together, they share a passion for music—particularly Dave Matthews Band—and any excuse for a comedy show, unique event, or really... any good time. Trips to NYC are always special for them, as are their Canadian Thanksgivings with Frankie’s family and U.S. Thanksgivings with Meredith’s—celebrating traditions and making new memories.

Our Story Continued

Frankie asked Meredith to marry him at Singing Beach during golden hour in July 2024. The day began with a stroll through the streets of Newburyport before they took a joyride with the dogs in the Bronco, top down, to Singing Beach. This was a deeply meaningful spot where Meredith’s beloved dog, Jed, had passed in her arms. Understanding just how much Jed meant to Meredith, Frankie created the perfect setting to celebrate love after a challenging year. Afterwards, they celebrated casually with close friends at their favorite local dive bar, The Anchor—dogs Archie and Indy included! They share a deep respect for nature and for each other... and a willingness to try anything together. In the summer of 2025, they decided to take a seven-week cross-country trip to experience new people and places together. The trip was humbling and transformative; they learned a great deal about themselves and each other while exploring destinations they had only dreamed of. They continue to embrace each other’s vision and look forward to a shared future full of life’s daily adventures, love, and discovery. Despite their busy lives, they remain committed to visiting friends across the country, nurturing relationships, and celebrating life together. Friendship is deeply important to both of them. Meredith and Frankie live in Beverly, MA, with Meredith working in mental health and substance use recovery and Frankie in gene sequencing science. They have built a life centered on the importance of big love, laughter, adventure, and growth—supporting each other’s dreams, savoring each moment, and making happily ever after memories!✨
