Things To Do

We can't wait to share our favorite parts of Rhode Island with you! Here are some of our go-to spots:

Diego's

11 Bowens Wharf, Newport, RI 02840

Great Mexican food and incredible margaritas! Great vibes for a casual, lively meal.

Castle Hill Inn

590 Ocean Avenue, Newport, RI 02840

Enjoy a cocktail on the lawn while taking in one of the most breathtaking views in Newport. One of Meredith's favorite stops in Rhode Island

The Nitro Bar

404 Thames Street, Newport, RI 02840

A cozy spot for excellent coffee and a great atmosphere.

Newport Blues Café

286 Thames Street, Newport, RI 02840

A lively bar with great live music, perfect for a fun night out. Where the bride and groom hope to end up on Friday night.

Slice of Heaven

32 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown, RI 02835

A charming café perfect for breakfast or a pastry stop before a day of exploring.

Cool Beans Cafe RI

18 Kingstown Road, Narragansett, RI 02882

A great local coffee shop known for its laid-back vibe and delicious drinks. We recommend the acai bowl!

Brickley's Ice Cream

322 Main Street, South Kingstown, RI 02879

Known for its homemade ice cream and wide variety of delicious flavors.

Matunuck Oyster Bar

629 Succotash Road, South Kingstown, RI 02879

A short drive from Newport, but well worth it for fresh seafood served right on the water. A personal favorite, where we've been kicking off summer for years!

Block Island Day Trip

If you have time, a day trip to Block Island is a great way to soak in some classic Rhode Island coastal vibes. Ferries run from Point Judith (year-round, vehicle & passenger) and Newport (seasonal, passenger only), making it an easy and scenic ride over. Once you’re there, grab a bike or moped to cruise around and grab a mudslide at The Oar.

The Oar

221 Jobs Hill Road, New Shoreham, RI 02807

If you take a trip to Block Island, we highly recommend The Oar. A must-visit for fresh seafood, sushi, and their famous mudslides, all with a perfect harbor view. The wings, sushi and mudslides (albeit an unlikely combo) are well worth the ferry ride over.

Ballard's Hotel

42 Water Street, New Shoreham, RI 02807

A lively beachfront destination with great food, drinks, and live music—perfect for a fun, relaxing afternoon.

Spring House Hotel

51 Spring Street, New Shoreham, RI 02807

It’s a stunning spot with a beautiful wraparound porch and lawn seating, perfect for enjoying cocktails with an ocean view. The historic charm, incredible scenery, and great food make it a must-visit while on the island.

For all the days along the way
