We met the old fashioned way, on a dating app. There is a seven year age difference between us and we both decided to change our age ranges on a whim and matched on Bumble. We bonded over Taylor Swift, went on our first date and the rest is history.
We moved in together in March of 2020 just as the pandemic started to become a reality. We are both animal lovers and made sure to find a home that allowed pets, especially dogs (cat's make Meredith sneeze). We were settled in for a few months and decided we wanted to adopt. Everyone else had the same idea as we did, because anytime we saw a dog we liked on any of the local rescue websites, they were gone before we could contact the agency. Finally in May we saw Ethel and managed to be the first one to contact Operation Paws for Home and was able to adopt her. Ethel has brought so much love and excitement to our lives and was there for us through the toughest moments. We went on many new adventures and made it two years being stuck at home together. The venue is very dog friendly so Ethel and her furends can attend our special day.
I was sitting on the couch watching tv, when Cody asked me to marry him. He didn't have a ring yet ( he wanted me to pick one out) so for about a month I wore a twist tie around my finger. Once we had the ring he officially proposed on Christmas 2020.
