We have established a tradition of going to Duke Gardens on Easter Sunday, the whole garden seems to be in bloom this time of year! It is a beautiful place to take a walk, long or short, and enjoy all of the different areas in the gardens. It is a 20 min drive from the Raleigh/Cary area, but well worth it, especially if you are also interested in checking out the Duke campus.
A fun local brewery, with outdoor seating and a food truck. Bond Brothers is rapidly expanding- you may have seen their new location in the RDU airport if you flew in. We love meeting friends here and sitting outside for a nice craft beer.
This is the first place we ever had dinner together in Raleigh! The chef, Ashley Christensen, has several great restaurants in the area, but this is our favorite. It has an old school diner feel, but with amazing dinner and brunch food!
A great place to go for a walk, run or hike. There are many different trails to choose from and it is a great outdoor escape.
One of our absolute favorites for a quick and delicious Mexican dinner overlooking the NC State campus.
Located in the Umstead Hotel, a fancy place to grab a cocktail, sit outside, and enjoy the relaxing scenery.
A great place for classic southern seafood! Located in the Glenwood South area of town, there are plenty of other restaurants and bars around, but we love the old school feel at 42nd St!
Looking for authentic BBQ? This is a small, side of the road, no frills place, but with delicious food.
Its a restaurant, bookstore and flower shop. Somehow it works and it is one of our favorite dinner spots.
Our favorite restaurant in Raleigh! We seem to come here for every special occasion, and we love it every time!
