We are getting married! Come celebrate with us!

We met thanks to a dating app called, "Hinge." Our first date was on a rooftop bar in Downtown Sacramento called the "Darling Aviary." We talked for a few hours and could not believe how much we had in common! We scheduled a second date for an evening picnic in McKinley Park in East Sacramento where we opened up about our values, future plans and even how many kids we wanted. Needless to say, we were on the exact same page with all of the above :)

We went on a big trip to both Greece and Turkey this past Spring. It was just us in Greece for a week and then we met family and friends in Istanbul for a two week organized trip. In Greece, we traveled to Athens, and the islands of Mykonos and Santorini. We had fantastic food and great accommodations the entire trip. We had a beautiful view of the Caldera in Santorini on the last leg of the trip with a cobblestone lined path that led to our own private "cave" house. The hike between Oía and Firá had been recommended to us by several friends so we decided to do a portion of it our last full day in Santorini. We were on our way back, and I wanted to walk up a hill that appeared to have a great view. I was taking pictures and when I went to turn around, Brian was on his knee with one of my mother's rings in hand. I was shocked, and others on the hiking trail cheered! It was incredibly windy so our pictures of the event are not the most flattering, but reflect the authenticity of the moment ;) While Brian and I had discussed engagement recently and I knew it was most likely happening sometime on the trip... I was not expecting it in the moment it happened!
