For sure! With lighthouse, shipyard and nature cruises, plus more outdoor experiences, MME is not your typical museum. Mention our wedding at the front desk so you can get free admission to the museum's 20-acre campus on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can reserve cruise passes using the member rate too. Consider booking in advance because cruises could sell out. Mainemaritimemuseum.org is the museum’s website, and its phone number is (207) 443-1316.
Absolutely, vehicles are allowed to stay parked at Maine Maritime Museum overnight.
Yes, please stow away phones and cameras until after the ceremony. Depending on the angle of our camera crew, you may not notice them capturing a shot where you are in the frame. Professional photos camera work will turn out the way we envision if devices can't be seen in the background. We promise to share photos and video soon after the wedding!
Suggested attire is semi-formal.

"Stroll through the country’s only surviving shipyard to see where large wooden sailing vessels were once built. Many of the original buildings in the shipyard are preserved, giving you a glimpse into the daily lives of the Percy & Small shipbuilders. The highlight of the yard is the full-size sculpture of the schooner Wyoming, the largest wooden sailing vessel ever built in North America. At the top of the yard, the Victorian-era home of the Donnells, one of Bath’s shipbuilding families, opens seasonally for tours. Hop on daily cruises to see some of Maine’s most iconic lighthouses from the water and get an up-close look at Navy vessels under construction at Bath Iron Works. For a truly unique experience, sail aboard the restored 1906 schooner Mary E and learn about her storied history. The museum’s working Boatshop keeps Maine’s wooden boatbuilding traditions alive. Chat with craftsmen at work or participate in a variety of workshops that teach traditional woodworking techniques."
Maine Maritime Museum will make golf carts available for use from The Great Lawn parking area to the Lawn and back, which is a short distance. All parts of the campus that we'll utilize are very accessible in terms of mobility. You can read more about accessibility at: mainemaritimemuseum.org/visit/accessibility
